Tame Impala is probably the face of modern psychedelic rock. Consisting of one man Grammy-nominated platinum selling multi-instrumentalist Kevin Parker, they have achieve widespread attention for their unique yet groovy bass sounds - most highlighted in their song “The Less I Know the Better”. Parker’s music is heavily influenced by 1960s & 1970s psychedelic rock with various production with delay, reverb and fuzz.

MGMT was started by students Benjamin Goldwater and Andrew Vanwyngarden in 2002. Originally called the Management, they changed their name to MGMT after finding out that the name was already used. Their album “MGMT” carries the similar themes of psychedelic synths, drums and funky vocals that let the listener go on a trip of relaxation and joy. “Electric Feel” and “Kids” are some of their more well-known songs, usually heard in college and dorm parties. 3. Pink Floyd
