1. Chloe x Halle
Chloe x Halle are a sister R&B and pop duo, signed under Beyoncé’s label. They started out at age 18 and 16 years old, and in just four years, have written, produced and dropped two albums, several mixtapes and Eps. In their first full-length album “The Kids Are Alright”, it was clear that they were fearless with their musical styles. Falsettos from Halle blended perfectly with Chloe’s bass registers , producing beautiful harmonies and tonalities which defined the album itself.
2. Aly & AJ
Similar to Chloe x Halle, Aly & AJ are also a sister pop duo formed in 2004 that has established an acting career as well. Their debut album “Into the Rush” debuted on the top 200 US Billboard and has sold over a million copies worldwide. Aly & AJ are known for being very open about their faith, as they were significant in the Christian music rock scene, although they do not wish to be labeled as Christian music artists.
3. Tegan & Sara
Tegan and Sara is a Canadian indie pop band formed in 1998. They consist of identical twin sisters Tegan Rain Quin and Sara Keirsten Queen, both of whom are very talented songwriters and multi-instrumentalists. The pair have release 9 studio albums and even earned a Grammy nomination in 2012 for their live album Get Along.
4. 21 Pilots
21 Pilots was formed in 2009 by lead vocalist Tyler Joseph along with drummer Josh dun. The duo was best known for their singles “Stressed Out”, “Ride” and “Heathens”. The group received a Grammy Award for Best Pop Duo/Group Performance at the 59th Annual Grammy Awards for “Stressed Out”. Today, they remain as one of the best known pop duos, receiving a gold certification from the Recording Industry Association of America.
5. Royal Blood
Royal Blood are an English rock duo formed in Brighton in 2011, with Mike Kerr on vocals & bass and Ben Thatcher on drums. The band has announced their influences from Queens of the Stone Age, Muse, The Dead Weather and At the Drive-In for their overall sound. In 2015, they snatched away 6 awards ranging from Best Live Band to Breakthrough artist from various organisations.
