Anime Opening Themes on Piano


Anime has been starting to get very popular among the general public in recent years! Starting with the TikTok trend of people cosplaying and imitating anime voice lines, to Japanese animated film Demon Slayer shattering a box-office record, it is no wonder why anime songs are beginning to appear everywhere! Previously, we had the unexpected surge in the popularity of 80s Japanese city pop songs, and now people are going crazy over anime themes. Well, we are hopping on the trend too by introducing piano covers and tutorials for popular anime openings!


  1. Demon Slayer Opening

Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba is a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Koyoharu Gotouge. A 26-episode anime television series was adaptated based on the manga. A sequel film, Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba the Movie: Mugen Train, premiered in October 2020 and became the highest-grossing anime film and Japanese film of all time. It follows Tanjiro Kamado, a young boy who wants to become a demon slayer after his family is slaughtered and his younger sister Nezuko is turned into a demon.


2. My Hero Academia Opening


My Hero Academia is a manga series serialized by Shonen Jump and written by Kohei Horikoshi. The series has been adapted into an anime series and three movies, as well as spawning the prequel seriesVigilantes and spinoffs:School Briefs andTeam-Up Missions.

The story is set in the modern-day, except people with special powers called "Quirks" have become commonplace throughout the world. In a world of chaos and confusion, Pro Heroes have now risen as the new profession to fight off powerful super villains.


3. Jujutsu Kaisen Opening

The story of Jujutsu Kaisen is set in a world where Cursed Spirits feed on unsuspecting humans and fragments of the legendary and feared demon Ryomen Sukuna have been lost and scattered about.

Should any curse consume Sukuna's body parts, the power they gain could destroy the world as we know it. Fortunately, there exists a mysterious school of Jujutsu Sorcerers who exist to protect the precarious existence of the living from the supernatural!


4. The Promised Neverland Opening


The Promised Neverland is a Japanese manga series written by Kaiu Shirai and illustrated by Posuka Demizu. It was serialized in Shueisha's Weekly Shōnen Jump from August 2016 to June 2020, with the individual chapters collected and published by Shueisha into twenty volumes. The story follows a group of orphaned children in their escape plan from an orphanage after they realize a dark secret.

 

Zoe is an avid fan of all kinds of music. Her primary instrument is the guitar but she is always passionately learning how to play other instruments such as the drums and keyboard. She is currently playing the bass guitar in a band and has been routinely involved in music since she was a child.
